A stunning 1920's portrait of a young girl. William Lee Hankey earned a reputation as one of the leading British printmakers of his time. He began etching in 1902, later switching to drypoint. Marie Helen is a glorious example of his work. A very rich, detailed impression with an intense characterisation.
